We have a variety of certified specialists on staff to assist our patients with issues with Medicare, Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act. The patient assistance team also engages in community outreach, visiting local schools, hospitals, churches and public events to educate people about health issues and provide local health resources.
Specialized Care
Our Patient Assistance Center is staffed by a team of certified Medicare, Medicaid and Affordable Care Act specialists who are here to help you access these programs. Available at all Teche Action Clinic locations, these specialists will provide you with one-on-one assistance to help you apply for any program for which you may be eligible.
Every member of our team is certified and trained in all three of these national healthcare programs – and many members also underwent training for community health workers at the University of South Alabama.
In addition to providing assistance with Medicare, Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act, our patient assistance team is heavily involved in community outreach efforts. Four times each month, our team visits schools, churches, hospitals or various public events to provide education and valuable information regarding a wide variety of local health resources. We’re here to ensure that you and your family know about all of the helpful resources that are available to improve your health and quality of life.
