Teche Action Clinic is proud to offer families assistance in providing their children with proper nutrition. Our registered dietitians can provide pregnant women and new mothers with education and helpful information about proper nutrition, breastfeeding, immunizations and other issues that affect the health of their children.
In addition, we can help you enroll in the WIC program (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children). WIC provides supplemental foods and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.
Our registered dietitians are knowledgeable in all aspects of the WIC program and can help determine if you are eligible for the program. If you are eligible, we’ll also be happy to help you get enrolled in the WIC program.
