Chief Human Resources and Workforce Development Officer

Janelle Luquette, J.D., M.A., joined Teche Action Clinic in 2018 and currently serves as the Chief Human Resources and Workforce Development Officer. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law School and received her Master of Arts-Adult Education from Northwestern State University.

As a member of Teche’s Executive Committee, she leads and shapes our efforts to fuel our growth strategy with our most valuable asset- our employees.

In this role, Janelle is responsible for leading Teche’s overall human resources strategy, talent acquisition, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, organizational design and cultural development, employee education and development, compensation and benefits, HR operations and technology, employee relations, and companywide workforce development.

Luquette has over 20 years of broad management and Human Resources experience across multiple industries. Before Teche, Janelle was Director of Financial Aid and Adjunct Professor for South Louisiana Community College. In addition to her range of roles in higher education, she has held roles in upper management, business, and healthcare.

Janelle has extensive experience working with the senior most levels of organizations in the areas of Upper-Management Succession Planning, Team Effectiveness, Leadership Development, Culture Integration, Merger Acquisition, Employee Development and Coaching.

Throughout her 20-year career, Janelle has received numerous awards and recognitions including special recognition from the Louisiana Department of Veteran Affairs for her dedication to helping Veteran Students.
